Live drawing

With our live drawing events, we focus on different forms of interaction: how can the interaction between two or more artists, between man and machine, between artist, audience and public space be optimized?

In a series of experiments, try-outs and live performances, we will search for the most interesting forms of interaction on the basis of trial and error, each time building further on the previous findings.

Inclusiv/Exclusiv (2021)

Live animation drawing by students of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp on the outside walls of deSingel, Antwerp, with live performances of the Jazz department of the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp. Audiences could follow the whole event in the studio.POC Lounge in Mozilla Hubs, where the live performances and live drawing was being dynamically streamed.

Drop that line! (2021)

A project in which the public space is optimally shared and imagined by artists on the one hand and skateboarders on the other. In which the line drawn by the artist is supplemented/extended by the line of travel followed by the skater.

The urban jungle can be a hard place but sometimes it also offers beautiful opportunities for cross-directional collaborations like this one.

Beneath the heavy concrete of the city, a heart beats.

Frietje Wabisabi (2021)

An experimental TV show, live from the A'pex gallery.

Where experimentation transcends the outcome and where imperfection stands for perfection.
With live poetry and improvisation by Philip Meersman.
